Pulu is a dense, handwoven wool cloth long used across the plateau for robes, bags, and shelter. Its irregular grain holds weather, ritual, and daily labor in the same surface.
At AJ-NAMO, pulu is pieced and re-cut into contemporary coats and outer layers—keeping the tactile honesty of the weave while clarifying the silhouette for city life.
How we use it
- Hand-pieced panels for limited outerwear
- Contrast bindings and shawl constructions
- Runway chapters such as Three Rivers and Baxoi
Care
Professional dry clean preferred. Avoid heavy steam that can compact the nap. Store folded with cedar, not on thin hangers.
